La Nobile Famiglia Taricco, altresì conosciuta con le varianti Tarico e Taricchi, trae le proprie origini dalla città di Cuneo, donde si trasferì successivamente in Cherasco, ove si articolò in tre distinte linee genealogiche: quella dei Conti di Castelvecchio, quella dei Conti di Canosio e quella dei Conti di Stroppo. Alla prima linea appartenne l’illustrissimo Ignazio Felice (nato nel 1701 e deceduto il 14 febbraio 1756), figlio di Bartolomeo, il quale fu infeudato dei territori di Castelvecchio e Borgo il giorno 25 marzo dell’anno 1722 e solennemente investito del titolo comitale il 23 luglio dello stesso anno e nuovamente l’8 giugno 1733. Egli ebbe per fratello il nobile Pietro Francesco (morto il 2 giugno 1759), che ottenne il Regio Assenso alla successione feudale in data 21 marzo 1751, venendo investito il 21 marzo 1756. Alla seconda linea appartenne il nobile Giuseppe, infeudato di Canosio il 13 febbraio 1722 e investito, con titolo comitale, il 23 del medesimo mese. Suo figlio, Giovanni Matteo, ricoprì la carica di vice-intendente di Cuneo nell’anno 1741 e fu investito del feudo il 25 agosto 1731. ...
