L'origine di questo casato è incerta ed esistono varie testi:la prima è che sia un ramo del casato spagnolo dei Tartagliones, la seconda, molto pittoresca, è che nel XIII secolo durante i Vespri siciliani per scovare gli Angioini, che non avevano ancora abbandonato l’isola, fu imposto loro di pronunciare la parola “cicero” che i francesi non sapevano pronunciare e fingendosi balbuzienti per non essere scoperti furono soprannominati “Tartaglioni”. Di questo casiamo notiamo un don ANTONIO, sindaco di Marcianise nel 1753-54 che si adoperò a far ritornare i Padri Alcantarini nel convento che era stato chiuso fin dal 1650 e fu nominato primo procuratore dei Frati Minori; in quello religioso con don ANDREA che fu uno dei due “Maestri di Scola” della città di Capua nel ...
