Nobility crown TeofiliUn Fulvio fu vescovo di Forlì nel 1587. Sertorio (1593) ed altro Sertorio (1660) de' Teofili o Theofili furono conservatori di Roma. Il cavaliere Jacovacci ricorda soltanto un Belardino Theophili vivente nel 1523. Il ricercatore e auterovele storico Gozzadini nella sua "Delle Torri Gentilizie di Bologna, e delle famiglie nobili alle quali prima appartennero", stampato in Bologna presso Zannichelli nel 1875. Sottoposta a più d'ogni altra alle vicendevolezze de' tempi fu la presente famiglia, la quale come fazzionaria delle rabbiose parti Guelfe, e Ghibelline si disastrò, come l'altre a lei simili, che hora dentro, hora fuori delle città emiliane bisognò commorare, secondo gl'interessi, che coorevano per quella parte, come si mostrerà appresso.
