of the Patriotic Hospital and other charities; knight Zanotto, created citizen of Modena with his descendants by decree of the Conservatives of Modena in June 1792 and generously engaged in the foundation of the College of Jesuits in Ferrara; Vincenzo and Francesco, of Cesare, brothers, created Counts of the Holy Lateran Palace by Pope Pius VIII; Vittorio and Ferruccio, brothers, both generals in the Great War, the second of which was decorated with a gold and three silver medal. He died at Oslavia at White Lenzuol, on Nov. 28. 1915, commanding Livorno brigade. The aforementioned two brothers, with Ministerial Decree of May 11, 1891, were recognized Nobles of Finale and Palatine Counts. The Noble title of Finale had been confirmed by that community to Count Vincenzo and Francesco on December 22, 1820 and to Bonventura, brother of the aforementioned accounts, March 22, 1819. Family names so old, without any doubt, honour not only families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious members.
