Ancient and noble family from Tuscany, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has spread, over the centuries, in different Italian regions, with a main settlement in the area of Milan, and of the world. The family had its beginning in the city Florence, to whose citizenship was admitted in the district of Santa Maria Novella, "gonfalone Lion bianco" During the seventeenth century a branch of it moved to Fiesole. There, with document dated 1 December 1843, the civic magistracy of Fiesole proposed the ascription to the noble class of that city of Luigi Rinaldo, of the Mayor Paolo. This proposal was accepted with a grand ducal document of 7 June 1844. The family is therefore registered in the Italian Noble Official List with the title of nobles of Fiesole.
