Im Jahre 1353 wird Eberhard von Weng als Vormund des Grafen Leopold von Hals genannt. Im Jahre des Herrn 1510 waren die Brüder Caspar und Haymeran Wenger im Besitz der Burg Rammelsperg. Ulrich Wenger, Domherr zu Regensburg, verschied im Jahre 1523. Um das Jahr 1340 stifteten Heinrich, Sighart und Stephan aus dem Hause Wenger dem ehrwürdigen Kloster Aldersbach eine Leichenhalle zum Gedächtnis ihres verstorbenen Bruders Leutold. In der heraldischen Darstellung führt Heinrich auf seinem Schild einen Luchs, der auf einem dreizackigen Berge heranschreitet, während Sighart einen springenden Luchs ohne den besagten Berg als Wappentier führt. ...
