Famiglia originaria delle Marche le cui più antiche memorie risalgono al secolo XV. Un Dragone fu, nel 1426, capitano del duca di Urbino. Antonio di Nicolello nel 1441 gonfaloniere. In seguito fino ai nostri giorni più di sessanta individui di questa famiglia furono investiti della stessa carica e delle altre principali del Comune. Di questa famiglia esistettero tre rami: 1° quello di Biscaccianti propriamente detto, estinto da più di un secolo; 2° quello dei Biscaccianti- Zeccadoro estinto nel secolo XIX e costituito dalla discendenza di Scipione che aggiunse nel secolo XVII al proprio il cognome di Zeccadoro avendo sposato l'ultima di tale nobile famiglia la contessa Lucrezia; 3° il ramo tutt'ora fiorente che trasse questo cognome per distinguersi dagli altri, dalla fonte che tuttora vedesi avanti al loro palazzo. La Consulta Araldica, come risulta dall'Elenco nobiliare ufficiale delle Marche del 1908, riconobbe spettare a questa famiglia i seguenti titoli: ...
