Famiglia logudorese, le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XII, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Apparteneva alla ristretta cerchia dei majorales, spesso fu in lotta con la famiglia dei giudici di Torres. Nel 1323, all'arrivo degli Aragonesi, un Comita Zena prestò omaggio all'Infante Alfonso, per il feudo di S. Andrea di Socio. Comita morì nel 1339 e gli successe suo figlio Pietro che ottenne inoltre vasti feudi nella curatoria di Sols. Suo figlio Alibrando allargò ulteriormente i suoi possessi feudali nell'Iglesiente ma nel 1363 si ribellò agli Aragonesi, per cui gli furono confiscati tutti i feudi. In seguito per il valore di un Guardantino, che combatté per gli Aragonesi, la famiglia recuperò una parte dei feudi.
