Antica famiglia di Vicenza e forse derivata dall'omonima veneziana e ascritta al nobile Consiglio di Vicenza nel 1562 in persona di Antonio Rodolfo II con suo diploma 18 ottobre 1576 creò i fratelli Sebastiano, Giuseppe ed Antonio nobile del Sacro Romano Impero. La famiglia nel 1694 aveva avuto il palatinato. Fu confermata nobile con Sovrana Risoluzione 22 settembre 1820 ed aggiunge per eredità il nome della famiglia Giustiniani, oriunda genovese e nobile di Vicenza. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile (mf.).
