In seguito all'assedio del 1155, questa illustre ed antica famiglia, abbandonò Tortona, rifugiandosi a Monleale, costretta dalle condizioni di resa (17 aprile) che imponevano l'esodo di tutti gli abitanti dalla città. Giorgio, notaio palatino, rogò atti tra il 1203 ed il 1244, riprodotti nei Cartari di Rivalta. Negli Statuti Tortonesi a pag. 224/a è trascritto l'atto del 10 settembre 1302 ove il Consiglio dei Savi, tra cui Giacomo Zunno, approva la convenzione con la quale il comune di Tortona concede al prevosto di S.Marta di Genova di trasportare derrate da Castelnuovo Scr. a detta città. Altro notaio è Giovanni, che esercitava a Porta S.Quirino nel sec. XIV, come risulta dalla "Matricola dei notai che rogarono nel Tortonese tra il XIV sec. ed il XVIII".
