Antichissimi cittadini venuti da Malamocco (alcuni scrittori invece ritengono che due fratelli provenissero dalla Grecia). Lasciando la verità a suo luogo e certo che da bel principio la famiglia dimoravano nella contrada di Sant'Agnese. Nei registri della milizia da Mar leggesi che la famiglia nel secolo XVIII abitava a Malamocco, come si vede anche da alcune iscrizioni in quel litorale, ed a Burano. Il ramo di questa famiglia venuto a Venezia si dedicò specialmente al sacerdozio; nella seconda metà del secolo XIV troviamo aggregati alla Scuola della carità tre sacerdoti: Andrea di S. Samuele, Bartolomeo di S. Vidal, e Pietro di S. Gregorio, ed in questa contrada abitò fino a pochi anni addietro una famiglia B. Nel 1552 si ha memoria di un Lorenzo, vicario e cerimoniere della basilica di S. Marco; poi arciprete di Sant'Angelo, quindi piovano di S. M. Zobenigo ecc.
