ADUASIO

Aduasio, extremely rare, would seem to be specific of Andria in the Bari area, it should derive from the medieval name Aduasio, of which we have an example in Foggia at the beginning of the 1300s with the Deacon Aduasio di Troia victim of a conspiracy against the local bishop, the name is perhaps due to an alteration of the Greek name Adrastus, traces of this surname can be found at the beginning of the 1700s in Andria with the ecclesiastic Bernardino Aduasio benefactor of the convent of Andria.
