Etymological origin of Italian surname: Airo'

AIRO'

It seems to have two stocks, in the Tarento and in the Agrigento, it is very rare, it should derive from the Longobard name Airoaldo of which we have trace for example in a deed of sale dated 765 drawn up in Chiusi (SI): "... Constat me prenominatus Teudemari ab ac die uindedisse et uindedi tiui Airoaldo terra purectas in Quaratule farmhouse ... ".
