ALACCA | ALACCHI | ALACCO

Alacca, almost unique, and Alacchi, only slightly less rare, seem to be of Campania origin, perhaps from the area of Salerno, Avellino and Sicily, Alacco, which today would seem to have disappeared in Italy, could be of Foggia origin, could derive from an apheretic form ethnic referring to those who came from the region of Wallachia, in present-day Romania, thus indicating its origin by the progenitors.
