ALMASI | ALMASIO

Almasi, almost unique, would seem to be Lombard, Almasio is specific to the Northern Milanese and Varese area, to San Vittore Olona, Legnano, Parabiago and Nerviano in the Milanese area and to Fagnano Olona in the Varese area, they should derive from the medieval name Almasio, we remember with this name the Captain of Ventura Almasio Dei Banoli who worked in the service of the Serenissima Republic in the early 1300s.
