Amalberti is typical of the area between Ventimiglia, Vallecrosia and Soldano in the imperiese, Amalberto, absolutely rare, it seems Asti, derived from the Frankish name of Amalbertus, of which we have an example in the VIIth century with San Amalberto and later in the Codex Chronologico Diplomaticus Episcopatus Ratisbonensis in the year 885: "... Signum Domni Karoli Serenissimi Imperatoris Augusti.Amalbertus Notarius ad vicem Liutuuardi Archcancellarii recognize you ...".
