Anceschi is specific to the Reggio and Modena areas, to Reggio Emilia and Scandiano (RE), a probable place of origin, with branches also in Modena and Sassuolo (MO), it could be an apheretic form of the name Francesco, traces of this surname can be found in Scandiano at least from the second half of the 1500s.
