Angelilli has a stock in Rome, one in Schiavi Di Abruzzo (CH) and one in Lucera (FG), Angelillis is typical of the Foggia area, Angelillo, in addition to the Apulian nucleus, between Bari and Tarantino, has a not secondary lineage in Naples and Neapolitan, they derive from the medieval name angelillus of which we have an example in this tombstone of 1585 in Frattamaggiore (NA): "A. 1585 - ADAM PARRETTA, EIUSQUE FILIUS ANGELILLUS, HOC - MONUMENTUM FF. NEPOS - JO. DOM.CUS PATRICI.US NEAP.NUS IP - TOT POST LABORES ". We find traces of these surnames in the Caserta area in Cerreto in the 1400s: "Year domains of the thousandth quadrangle thirtieth secundo die duodecimo mensis Madij X inditionis ... ... Insuper per presencium seriem eligimus in idoneos confessores Dominum Guillelmum de Angelillo dominum Nicolaum Martinum vel ipsorum alterum cappellanorum dicti ... ", and to Sant'Angelo di Alife (CE) in 1600 with the notary Giuseppe de Angelillis.
