Etymological origin of Italian surname: Argerio

ARGERI | ARGERIO

Both are extremely rare, probably of Lombard origin, and derive from the medieval name of Germanic origins Argerius, of which we have an example in the Diplomatic Code of medieval Lombardy where in the year 1020 there are written documents in Alfianello (BS) from Argerius notarius imperatoris, the possible derivation from the term argere for archer is very unlikely.
