ARNOFFI | ARNOLFI | ARNULFI

Arnoffi has a strain in Feltre in the Belluno area and one in Ferrara, Argenta and Poggio Renatico in the Ferrara area, Arnolfi is absolutely rare, while Arnulfi is almost unique, they should all derive from the Lombard name Arnolfus or Arnulfus of which we have an example in a Notitia pro securitate of March 993 taken from the Diplomatic Code of medieval Lombardy: "... Ad hec respondens ipse Arnulfus presbiter dixit et professus est: Vere ideo munimine ipso, quod est cartula commutationis, quem tu hic ostensist bonum et verum est ...".
