ARNOSTI

Very rare it is typical of the upper Treviso area but the family should be native to the Bergamo valleys where it would have come from Czechoslovakia, it should derive from the Czech name Arnost. Traces of this surname can be found in the Estimo di Ceneda (TV) of 1608 where we read: "... Silvestro Arnosti depentor owns in the district of mesco case from Coppi, cortivo et horto where Izabita et bruolo. With a contiguous field towards mezo di et va 'to the street of soto murado de una zoia, (borders) à morning de ms Domenego tintor, ...
