AVERSANA | AVERSANO

Aversana is very rare, Aversano is much less so, they are specific to the Caserta area, they derive from the toponym Aversa (CE). Trace of this surname we find in Salerno in 1300, as can be read in an act of October 1361, where among other things it says: "... In qua quidem causa, assumptis per vos Johanne Aversano de Salerno , et Herrico Melia de Neapoli militibus Juris civilis professoribus, certum didicimus vos fecisse processum in eadem, presentibus partibus, ... ".
