Etymological origin of Italian surname: Badaracchi

BADARACCHI | BADARACCO | BALDARACCHI

Badaracchi, absolutely rare, has a small stock in Campo nell'Elba on the Island of Elba and one in Tivoli and Rome in the Roman, Badaracco, typical of the Genoese, of Rezzoaglio, Chiavariu, Recco and Borzonasca, and has a stock also in Rome and Tivoli, Baldaracchi, almost unique, has a very small stock in Rome, could derive from the medieval name Baldracus, but it cannot be excluded that they may have originated from an Italianization of the Hebrew name Barachias, less likely a connection with the widespread name Badache in North Africa, traces of these surnames in Liguria have been found at least since 1100.
