Etymological origin of Italian surname: Barucchello

Barucchelli, absolutely rare, has a very small stock in the Brescia area and an even smaller one in the Bari area. Barucchello is almost unique, Baruchelli, very very rare, is typical of the lower Trentino, Baruchello has a very small stock between Rovigoto and Ferrara and one in the Roman area. additions provided by Stefano Ferrazzi The origin of these surnames is to be found in the medieval name Baruchello, to be understood as an endearment of the name Barucco (see Barucca) or as an adaptation of the Jewish personal Barachel, with the meaning of blessed by God (it is however a variant of Baruch, deriving both names from the Hebrew root berakhah): in the Bible, for example, Barachel is the father of Elihu, one of the antagonists of Job in the Book of Job. As far as the surnames in question are concerned, therefore, these are the surnames of the personal names of the founders.
