Bellan is typically Venetian, from the Rovigoto, Venetian and Trevisano, Bellani is a surname widespread throughout northern Italy with significant presences also in the center, Bellano has a lineage between Milanese and Lecco and one between Theatine and Molise, their origin is attributable or to a derivation from the Latin name, of Samnite origins, Bellanus, or from the Celtic name Belanos or Bellanos (god of light among the Celts) or to one of the many toponyms with the bell-root, such as Bellano (LC) or to a nickname always linked to the beautiful word used as an attribute.
