Etymological origin of Italian surname: Brusadin

BRUSADIN | BRUSADINI | BRUSATIN

Brusadin, present in the area that includes the Venetian, the Trevisano and especially the Pordenone area, is very common in Pordenone, but with significant presence also in Fiume Veneto, Brusadini is practically unique, Brusatin is present in the Treviso area and Venetian with a very small stock also in Trieste, the last two should have originated from Italianizations of the previous one, which should derive from a nickname originated from the Venetian word brusadìn (bruciaticcio, remnant of a small fire), perhaps to indicate that the founders had suffered a small fire, or also that they did not excel because of their great decision-making capacity.
