BUSATI | BUSATO | BUSATTI | BUSATTO

Busati, absolutely rare, is due to errors in transcription of Busato, which is typical of the Veneto region, where it is widespread everywhere, like the Busatto form, only a less common moment, Busatti is instead specific to Ferrara, it should be typical forms patronymics, with in-tato termination or -atto le venetian and in-emili le, of the name Boso (see BUSI), modified from the dialect in Buso, probable name of the father of the progenitor. Of these surnames we have traces in Martellago (VE) since the first half of the 1400s.
