BUSSO

An important nucleus is identified between Turin and Cuneo and one in Veneto, it could derive from the Latin word bussus which stands for boscus (wood) as it could derive from the toponym Bussoleno (TO) or Bussolino (TO) and for the Venetian branch from Bussolengo (VR). The famous painter was Aurelio Busso (born around 1500), a disciple of Raphael and a renowned fresco painter in Rome, Genoa and also in Crema.
