CAFFARENA

Caffarena is specific to Genoa, Recco and Bogliasco in the Genoese, it should derive from the name of the town of Caffarena di Propata (GE), near Bavastri, about 35 kilometers northeast of Genoa, we find traces of this surname in Recco in 1700 with the notary Levantino Caffarena, towards the end of the same century Pietro Maria Caffarena exercises instead in Levanto in La Spezia.
