Calvise. absolutely rare, it would seem of Pescara, Calvisi is typical of L'Aquila and its province, should derive from the Latin nomen Calvisius of which we have an example in the Annales of Tacitus: "... Appius Silanus Scaurus Mamerco simul ac Sabino Calvisio maiestatis postulantur, .. . ".
