CAPRANZANO

Capranzano, almost unique, should be Sicilian, of the Ennese in particular of Gagliano Castelferrato, it should derive from a dialectically altered form of the name of the country of origin of the founders, probably Carpanzano nel cosentino, which should derive from a Latin predial form from the Latin name Carpantius, probably from an ager carpantianus or from a castrum carpantianum.
