Etymological origin of Italian surname: Carlesi

CARLESI

Carlesi is very present in Tuscany, especially in Florence, Prato, Pistoia and Livorno, it should be a patronymic form in -esi, the surname should therefore refer to the sons of such a Carlo, we find traces of this surname in the 1600s in Castelbellino nell'anconetano, where one such Carlo Carlesi is a notary from 1618 to 1625.
