Both Cattonar and Cattunar are very rare and typical of Trieste, Cattonaro, even more rare could also be a native of that area, could derive from nicknames originated from the medieval word cathenarius (which has to do with chains), trace of these surnames to Rovinj in Istria has existed since the 1500s.
