Etymological origin of Italian surname: Cavuti

CAUTI | CAVUTI | CAVUTO

Cauti, very rare, is Abruzzese, with a stock in Ortona and in Teramo in Sant`Egidio alla Vibrata and Sant`Omero, also presents a strain in Rome, Cavuti, very very rare, is typical of Abruzzo, of the province of Chieti, of Miglianico and Crecchio in particular, Cavuto, much less rare is always typical of the Chieti area of Tollo and Ortona, there is also a small Neapolitan lineage probably due to variations of the surname Cavoto, they could derive from place names such as Passo Cavuto in the Marsican Mountains in the National Park d Abruzzo or, with much less probability, like Monte Cavuto in the upper part of Caserta, could also derive from Provencal emigrations (see CAVOTI).
