Chiavon, very rare, is specific of the Udine area, of Pozzuolo del Friuli and Udine, Chiavone, much more rare, is always from the Udine area, from Buttrio in particular, Chiavoni is typical of the central belt which includes the Macerata and Perugia areas. the Roman, in some cases could derive from the name of the Chiavon stream in the Vicenza area, or even, and most probably, from an apheretic form of the term schiavon (Slavic), perhaps to indicate a slavery origin (Slovenian) of the founders.
