Chirchio, absolutely rare, is from Palermo, Chirco is typically Sicilian from Trapani and in particular from Marsala, with a stock also in the Palermo area of Cinisi and Palermo, it should be modified forms of the surname Chirico and then derive from the medieval name Chiricus derived from Greek Byzantine word Kyericos with the meaning of literate or scribe.
