CHIRONE | CHIRONI

Chiron, very rare, has a lineage in the Neapolitan and one in the Brindisi area. Chironi has a stock in the Salento of Lecce and one of Nuoro and Sassari in Sardinia, they should derive from the Greek name Chirone, we remember the very famous Chirone centaur son of Filiara and Crono (the father of all Gods), Chiron, according to mythology, was the first to use herbs in the treatment of diseases; according to another hypothesis the Sardinian lineage of the surname Chironi should instead derive from the Basque surname Quirony.
