Etymological origin of Italian surname: Ciervo

CIERVO

Ciervo has a stock between Monsummano Terme and Quarrata in the Pistoia area and Prato, one in the latinense, in Aprilia and Latina, and in Rome, and one in Campania in the Benevento area, in Sant'Agata dei Goti, Dugenta, Moiano and Frasso Telesino, in Naples and in Laurino in the Salerno area, it should derive from the Spanish name Ciervo (Cervo), but it is also possible a connection with the word Lazio ciervo, a kind of sweet representative of a rooster, which is prepared with the spring equinox.
