Cigalotti, absolutely rare, has a small stock in the lower Trentino and one in the Verbanese, Cigalotto, equally rare, it would seem specific to Udine, should in some cases derive from ethnic forms of the toponym Cigole in Brescia, in many others from a hypocoristic form of the name medieval Cichala or Cighala.
