Etymological origin of Italian surname: Coeli

Very rare it is typical of the Verona area. additions provided by Fabio Paolucci is a Venetian surname, present more heavily in Verona and the province. The origin of the surname is, in my opinion, to be attributed to the Latin term coeliacus, attributed teasingly to those suffering from celiac disease. The Latin adjective coelioticus means, in fact, purgative. additions provided by Gianna Ferrari De Salvo according to the Veronese linguist Rapelli, (G. Rapelli, The surnames of Verona and the Veronese-historical etymological panorama, Verona 1995) from a place name shaped on the Trentino coèl (rock).
