COLASANTA | COLASANTE | COLASANTI | COLASANTO

Colasanta is unique and should be due to an incorrect transcription of one of the following, Colasante has an Abruzzese lineage, in the Theatine area in Guardiagrele, Pretoro and Casoli, in the Pescara area, in Pescara, Nocciano and Montesilvano and in Introdacqua nell'aquilano, a Roman , one in the Salerno area at Nocera Inferiore, Salerno and Angri, and one in Molfetta in the Bari area, Colasanti is a surname from Abruzzo and Lazio, particularly concentrated in the province of Rieti, Rome and Frosinone, Colasanto is typical of Puglia, with a nucleus in the Bari area concentrated at Terlizzi and one in Lucera in the Foggia area, derive from an apheretic Cola reduction of the name Nicola and would therefore be for those of San Nicola (district, district ...) or even by the compound name Colasante, or Colasanto, union of the apheresis of the name Nicola with the name Sante or Santo. We find traces of these surnames in Cerchio nell'aquilano in 1600 with a certain Pietro Antonio Colasanti quoted in a deed of sale.
