COPPONE | COPPONI

Coppone, absolutely rare, would seem to be from Salento, from Botrugno in the Lecce area in particular, Copponi, slightly less rare, is typical of the central belt that includes Marche, Umbria and Romano, with a stock in Rome and Civitavecchia, it could be an augmentative form of the apheresis of the name Jacopo, as well as of particular ethnic forms of countries such as Coppo in Perugia and Ancona.
