Corrente is typically southern, has a Sicilian lineage, one in the Cosenza area, one in the Taranto area, one in the Salerno area and one between the Roman area, the Latino area and the Caserta area. Correnti has a Sicilian nucleus and a Milanese lineage to which the famous Cesare Correnti belonged (1815 - 1888 ) who was one of the organizers of the 5 days of Milan and became secretary of the Provisional Government of Lombardy, was later a senator of the Kingdom of Italy and president of the Italian Geographic Society from 1873 to 1879.
