Etymological origin of Italian surname: Cortellazzi

CORTELAZZI | CORTELLAZZI

Cortelazzi has a stock in the Milanese and one between Cremona, Brescia and Mantua, Cortellazzi would seem typically Lombard, too, particularly from the lower Brescia, Cremona and Mantua, should derive from a nickname originated from the Lombard dialect word cörtelass (cutlass, but also type of plow blade), perhaps to indicate in the progenitors of agricultural workers.
