Cortone, very rare, has a small stock in Naples and Casalnuovo di Napoli in the Neapolitan and one in Bari, Cortoni has a small stock in the Viterbo area and one in Rome and Cave in the Roman area, they could derive from the medieval name Cortone, a name that in turn derives from the name of the cortone a bird of prey, a species of falcon, in some cases it is possible to assume a derivation from the name of the Arezzo city of Cortona.
