Etymological origin of Italian surname: Coruzzi

CORUZZI | CORUZZO

Coruzzi would seem to have an Emilian stock in Parma in Parma, Langhirano, Felino, Calestano, Montechiarugolo and Fontevivo, and an Abruzzese stock in the Teramo area in Montorio al Vomano, Coruzzo, almost unique, could be the result of an incorrect transcription of the previous one, could derive from an archaic dialectal name Coruzzo (Cuoricino), attributed by parents who were very happy to have had that child they cared about as their own heart, that is, their life.
