Etymological origin of Italian surname: Corvelli

CORVELLI | CORVELLO

Corvelli is typical of the Foggia area, of Lucera in particular, Corvello, almost unique, is probably due to a different transcription of the previous one, which should derive from the medieval name Corvellus, a hypocoristic name Corvus (see CORVI), in some cases it can also hypothesize that it may derive from the name of the town of Corvello di Gioia del Colle in the Bari area.
