CRICCA

Cricca has four distinct stocks, one very small in the Verona area of Mozzecane, one in Carrara and Massa, one in the Ravenna area in Lugo, Ravenna and Massa Lombarda and in Imola in the Bologna area, and one in Castelpagano in the Benevento area, it should derive from the name, medieval nickname Cricha of which we have an example in the register of the dead of plague in the Bergamo of the year 1512, where among other things we read: "... The sister of the Cricha, fiola de Michel from Castion ...".
