Etymological origin of Italian surname: Crimi

Crim, now disappeared in Italy, was present in Palermo in the early 1900s, Crimi is decidedly Sicilian, very common in the Messina and Catania areas and in the Trapani area, Krimi would seem unique, they should derive from the Greek name Klimis (Clemente), where due to a phenomenon of rotacismo the elle has been changed into r, but it is also possible a derivation from the Arabic name K'rim, Karim.
