Fiumicino in the Roman period, should derive, directly or through hypocoristic or accretive sleeping, from areas such as Valle Cupella in frusinate or Colle Cupellone in the Roman period or from countries like Cupello in the Theatine, it cannot however be excluded that they may derive from nicknames based on the trade of manufacturers of tiles made by the founders, nickname originated from the Latin term cupella (object in the shape of a small barrel and by extension tile).
